Teufelberger, headquartered in Wels, Austria, is a leading global manufacturer of ropes. The company operates production sites across the EU, the USA, and Thailand. Its product portfolio includes fiber ropes, steel wire ropes, and strapping. Teufelberger’s solutions are used in various applications, such as steel wire ropes for cable cars, cranes, and forestry, as well as synthetic fiber ropes for sailing, personal fall protection, tree care, and industrial use. Additionally, the company produces synthetic strapping for transport safety.
Teufelberger’s project objective, “Manage Complexity,” aimed to enhance transparency across the entire supply chain. This involved integrating logistics and procurement processes into both inbound and outbound logistics. Additionally, batch-specific production was to be incorporated into product costing and material valuation, while capabilities for deviation analysis in controlling were to be expanded. The first phase also included the go-live of the mountain sports segment for climbing rope manufacturing.
