Transformation to a digital business model: away from individual processes to global, standardized processes
Getzner Werkstoffe GmbH is a specialist for vibration isolation in the railroad, construction and industrial sectors. The high-tech materials Sylomer®, Sylodyn®, Sylodamp® and Isotop® originate from our own research. They are used in railroad superstructures for the elastic mounting of buildings and machinery and as structural components.
Getzner Werkstoffe decided to move to SAP S/4HANA in a Greenfield apporach since the existing SAP ERP system used by Getzner Textil, the parent company, was highly customized to meet its specific needs. Their implemented processes and functions did not align with the business requirements of Getzner Werkstoffe. Adapting the system to suit these needs would have been challenging due to limited internal knowledge about the extensive customizations within the Getzner Textil ERP environment.
